eduXscape - Privacy Policy (App)

At Polycular GmbH (hereinafter referred to as “we” or “us”), protecting your privacy is our top priority. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information when you use eduXscape (hereinafter referred to as the “App”).

The eduXscape App respects your privacy. When operating this App, only necessary data specified below is collected and stored only for as long as is necessary for the smooth operation of the App. The App does not contain any advertising scripts or similar from social networks or advertising partners, nor does it display any third-party advertising messages.

1. Collection and use of personal data:

When you use our app, the following data may be collected:

  • Technical data: IP address, authentication player ID
  • Game data: Login and session start

2. Purposes of use:

We use your data for:

  • Game experience: improving and providing features.
  • Technical purposes: Troubleshooting and app improvement.
  • Communication: contacting players with requests or notifications..
  • Marketing: Only after your consent for promotional purposes.

3. Sharing your data:

Your data will remain confidential. However, it may be shared in the following cases:

  • Service providers: assisting with the operation and maintenance of our app
  • Legal reasons: For legal requirements or to protect our rights.

4. Third-party providers and their services:

Unity 3D: Our app uses Unity 3D by Unity Technologies. Unity Technologies may collect, use, store and share your personal information.

  • Unity Remote Config: We use Unity Remote Config to customise the behaviour of our app without having to release a new version. No personal data is collected through this.
  • Unity Vivox: We use Unity Vivox for voice and text chat. The shortened IP address and the user ID determined by the developer are collected.
  • Unity Lobby: Unity’s lobby service allows players to connect to each other securely. Here, IP address and authentication player ID are collected by default.
  • Unity Relay: For improved and secure player connectivity, we use Unity Relay. Here too, the IP address and authentication player ID are collected by default.

5. Data storage:

Security: Your data is stored on secure servers and is protected from unauthorised access by technical measures.

6. Changes:

Updates: We may occasionally update this privacy policy. You will be informed in the event of significant changes.

6. Information, deletion, blocking

You have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of data processing, as well as the right to correct, block or delete this data. For this purpose as well as for further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time at the address given.

7. Contact

If you contact us and the company commissioned by us to implement your request by e-mail, the data you provide will be used to process your request. The provision of the data is necessary for the processing and answering of your enquiry – without their provision we cannot answer your enquiry or at best only to a limited extent.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) DSGVO.

Your data will be deleted if your enquiry has been conclusively answered and the deletion does not conflict with any statutory retention obligations, e.g. in the case of any subsequent contract processing.
